Markus E. Hackett

Markus is a 2014 graduate of California State University, Chico where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business. Growing up in Live Oak, CA, the heart of the Sacramento Valley, Markus comes from a family with long ties in agriculture and real estate, as both his father and grandfather were real estate appraisers and sheep/cattle ranchers. Markus holds licenses as a Certified General Appraiser (CA OREA No. AG3004581) and Real Estate Broker (CA DRE No. 02020460), and with his knowledge and understanding of the field, has been able to offer a variety of effective solutions to his clients over the years.

As a Certified General Appraiser, Markus has experience in valuing a variety of property types for the purpose of estates, partnership dissolutions, litigation, financing and conservation easements. To complement his Certified General Appraiser license, Markus obtained his Real Estate Broker license and has been actively representing sellers and buyers for all property types.

Property types Markus has experience in valuing or has been involved in selling or buying include commodity processing facilities, permanent planting developments, cattle ranches, wetland and upland habitats, rural residential homesites and single family homesites, as well as commercial office, retail and industrial developments. In addition, Markus has assisted with more complex property types such as leased fee estates, leasehold estates, fractional interests and conservation easements.

Markus currently operates out of our Woodland office and lives in Woodland with his wife and three children.
